Federal Conference hires award-winning Director of Sales, Phil Saims. Due to rapid growth, Federal Conference launches new Director of Sales role.


Federal Conference recently named Phillip Saims as Director of Sales. Saims brings 20 years of hospitality sales and services experience to Federal Conference. His record of success in driving business growth is a welcome addition to the Federal Conference team as the company strives to grow its association and corporate markets.

As an Associate Sales Director at a flagship Washington area Ritz Carlton, the hotel was rated number one in Meeting Planner Satisfaction among all Ritz Carltons. As Vice President of Sales at Knowland Group, his teams set new records in revenue growth and customer satisfaction and were recognized several times at the annual Stevie® Awards with the prestigious Gold for Sales and Service.

Prior to joining Federal Conference, Saims was Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. During his tenure, Saims drove the quality initiatives in the Event Planning Department, improving their service rating scores and increasing their engagement, earning him a nomination for “Events Team of the Year” for Hyatt Hotels. Saims’ efforts culminated with his being awarded the coveted Hyatt Regency “Leadership Award for Excellence in Public Relations.”

As the new Director of Sales, Saims will provide sales leadership to promote awareness of Federal Conference’s best-in-class, custom tailored event management solutions and expand the company’s service offerings in site selection, registration, housing management, and onsite delivery within a broader market of corporate and association clientele.
